What If Your Exhaustion Is Actually a Message?


In a world where doing = safety, slowing down — or doing nothing — can feel threatening to the Ego and to the nervous system.

For so much of my life, I valued productivity and accomplishment because they were woven into my survival system.

Accomplishing meant I was valuable. Accomplishing meant I was safe. I’m grateful that I discovered meditation and contemplative practices years ago. They helped me reconnect with my being-ness and with the core of who I truly am.

They allowed me to see myself with more clarity and compassion. And of course, the protective part of me resisted these practices.

Not because it was wrong — but because pausing once felt unsafe. Protective parts don’t try to sabotage us — they try to keep us alive using strategies that once worked. That part carried an old message:

“If you stop doing, you won’t survive.”

Through mindfulness, Akashic Records healing and somatic work, I’ve been gently shedding those layers.

My nervous system is slowly learning that rest is safe — that stillness is not a threat, but a doorway back to myself.

Now, I feel my Soul and my body integrating in a way that feels profound. Instead of different parts of me pulling in opposite directions, something inside is merging… softening… remembering my own Oneness.
